Three Song Slide Designs for Mother's Day

We survived Easter! Can you believe it?

And now we're off to races with the Spring Parade of events and holidays. First up, we've got Mother's Day. As usual, there are a lot of decisions to be made for your Mother's Day service, so hopefully this blog will help you with one of them - selecting your worship slide designs.

1) Stripes

Stripes across your image, whether used to accent or in the background, are in right now so why not have fun with them? I used the from Life Scribe Media. Added three more text boxes, stretched them to look like the top three stripes, filled them with color and adjusted opacity to around 40%. Then I filled in the actual text box I'm using with color as well and adjusted opacity to 40% as well. This takes the floral background and gives focus for the text as well as adding some texture to the design.

2) Modern

Another way to work with a floral background is to place a contrasting text box over it. By taking something delicate and placing something stark on top of it, you'll be able to make the background pop. For this inspiration, I took some of the designs that were already in this collection and adapted it for my own. This uses the by Centerline New Media. I then added a stark white box on top of the background, by adding an additional text box, adjusting the shape and then filling it in with a white color fill. For the font, I wanted something different from the pretty background. It helps the font stand out a bit too, so I'm using a font called Rock Salt, which you can download here. I think this is a fun design that pays homage to Mother's Day without taking over your whole song design.

3) Yellow

Let's face it. The pinks and purples can get a little overwhelming at times. So, if you need a break, check out this by Dan Stevers. The moms will love the floral design and you will love the color variety. Again, I used the stark white square as a backdrop for the text, but I added an orange border to match the colors and feel of the background a bit more.

Also, I changed the font to Quicksand Medium, which you can download here. And then changed the color to a dark orange that matches the colors in the background. Overall, this is a fun designs for your song or even sermon slides that you can use when you just can't stand to see any more pink. :)
